Charlie's Thoughts

Around 3:30 AM this morning I awoke to the loud and disturbing chants of "Char-lie", "Char-lie". As I jumped off my top bunk, and pulled on pants I found a group of oddly dressed comedians in my room. Luckily, this wasn't another one of "those" dreams...

Follow up:

"Charlie, you have been tapped by the Viola Question! Do you accept?"

"Yes!"

After more loud screaming, I was dragged out of my room as my suitemates shouted, "Congratulations, now shut the hell up" behind me. We proceeded to the secret meeting place of the group along with my the rest of my tap class. 4 total, including the aforementioned girl and two other guys. For the next two hours we completed numerous rituals, culminating in a fantastic view from the top of SSS (Very tall tower thing). Finally, we were welcomed into the group by the rest of the members and joined them for our first exercises as members and eventually breakfast. I got back to sleep sometime around 6.

I am thrilled to have actually made a group, I was extremely scared as there are some fantastic entertainers who tried out. Talking to all the groups, they said it was a great year for auditions. Bad news for those of you at home. I will be out on 2 one-week tours now. Our winter tour is in the New Jersey area, and the spring one is in Boulder, CO. Both of which should be awesome times.

We also perform numerous off-campus shows at boarding schools, retirement homes, etc. Which is how we fund all the purchases. Finally, we have the 12-hour marathon show, lasting from noon till midnight later in the year. Really a great group of people and I'm excited to begin learning about the improv world!
