It has been awhile since I last posted, so much has happened! We finished doing the Full Monty, which was a great show, I did some lighting design of my own, and I took more drugs than I have in the last three years. No not club drugs, my favorite drug the Z-pack. Anyways read on for more about my drug usage and life at Yale...
Follow up:
I think the day I last posted was the day I finally decided I was sick. A week later I strolled over to the Student medicine building and was diagnosed with a sinus infection and a tonsil infection. As of now, I just took day 5 of the Z-pack, and my sinus infection is gone, however the tonsils remain rather painful. Which is where my new best friend Advil comes into play.
Also this week between my hot flashes and cold flashes I discovered it is also REALLY cold out. I've been wearing two sweatshirts to keep warm and it's still cold, the wind has been especially bad. My bed is always warm though, which is very nice at night. The radiators have been slowly sucking all moisture out of the air which makes our room almost unbearable in my condition, however I'm getting by. At about 5 AM yesterday I woke up with the telltale thought process that goes something as follows:
"Why am I up this early?"
"Man, my nose is really runny"
"Man, that is some very watery snot"
It is usually somewhere around the third line that I clasp my hands and run to the bathroom. Owing to my Yale education, I managed to allow only two blood drops onto my sheets before arriving in the bathroom with a handful of joy. Good news: It came out for the most part.
Of course, my computer is still sick as well. It's spirit is probably strangling my throat, but until it gets better, I've borrowed a friends PowerBook. This has given me much time to reflect on how much I hate Macs, still. I guess I just miss my friend. --- Morgan freeman quote.
Finally, I'm getting that feeling that it's time to go home. Yup that feeling of wearing sandals all day because I have no socks left to wear. I thought my socks had been running away until I discovered my backup pile of dirty clothes (In case anyone made wisecracks about my room being clean). It's really amazing how long sweatpants can stay clean for. Truly though, I'm excited to go home and see our new house and see everyone I haven't seen for three months! Should be fun, except for the fact that I actually have to do work over break. Oh Well
So that's the news, just finished up my lighting plot for Speech & Debate today, so now it's time to read some riveting tales of consumerism and revisionist marxism!
